Legal notice and disclaimer

On entering the Citadel’s courtyard, you will see a building to your left which doesn’t seem to fit in the historical ensemble (4). This functional building was erected in 1935 for the gas-warfare protection laboratory. The house has been transformed into a dwelling for creativity. Painters, sculptors, photographers, makers of musical instruments, glass engravers, conservators and textile-designers have set up studios and work spaces in House 4. A potter, a stone-mason and a blacksmith also belong to the Citadel’s artistic community. Their workshops are located behind House 4 near Bastion Kronprinz.

In House 4 there is also a space for  the “Citadel Theatre”, a puppet theatre Theater Zitadelle, and the “Bat Cellar” Fledermauskeller.

Peter Cujé - Painter
Room 202, 1.fl, Fon +49 (0)30 331 69 14, www.petercuje.de
His paintings emerge in many steps as new coats of paint are steadily accumulated and then patiently washed out. The paintings are inspired by classical modern works.

Barbara Nowy - Sculptor / Painter
Room 205, 1.fl, Fon +49 (0)30 375 83 600, www.barbaranowy.de
The central theme of her painting is landscape. When working in her studio, she strives to bring the experience of nature and her compositions into a unity. Another field of activity is formed by her sculptures from clay, stone and wood. She also offers painting classes at Ahrenshoop.

Pius Müller - Painter
Room 206, 1.fl, Fon +49 (0)30 375 83 600
His method of painting develops out of abstract perspective and form. The field of connections is forged from the building blocks of image - chiefly colour and form - with their differentiations and intersections.

Room 304, 2.fl, Fon +49 (0)30 335 070 63, www.plonske.com
Concentrated image-motifs of the unconscious define his work. They are semiotic imaginations developed and differentiated in paint on large surfaces, sometimes detail-obsessed. His field of work reaches from abstract to epically wide, but always symbolic, figuration.

Anna von Bassen - Painter
Room 316, 2.fl, www.anna-von-bassen.de

Norbert Kluge - objects
room 318, 2.fl, Fon +49 (0)30 711 44 09, www.kluge-objekte.de

Room 113, www.die-seifenengel.de
Soaps from 100% natural raw materials are boiled using traditional methods. They tickle the eye with their appearance and unusual scent-composition.
